Did you know that 1st December marks the day when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat. Coloured people were obliged to do so due to the segregation law in 1955. The United States Congress has honoured Rosa Parks as "the First Lady of Civil Rights" and "the Mother of the Freedom Movement".
