HAPPY EARTHDAY, TO US!!

Dear Mindful Humans,

I can't believe it has been a year already. We started with Movement for Health & Wellbeing by delivering Sound & Movement Therapy workshops and unfortunately we were not able to continue to deliver the workshops in the Yoga studio which was really practical to store my instruments. However, I found that carrying the equipment was triggering my shoulder impairment; therefore, we decided to put that on hold until we got a new home where they would welcome Sound & Movement Therapy.

We worked on funding applications and we were so fortunate to be offered to deliver Afro Dance Fusion workshops in partnership with Sport England, CVA, National Lottery etc... which inspired us to work on developing Movement for Arts & Culture. We worked on focusing on themes that are related to Social Inequalities and Social Justice, Mental Health as well as Creative Arts; hence we finished each season with a Dance Video Project.

We have noticed that a great deal of Dance Participants were looking for Dance for Health; therefore we will be offering Afro Dance Fitness classes in the near future. Watch this space for more information, details and dates.

This Summer we will be back with Youth Mental Health First Aid courses as well as our new baby which is our Performing Arts School for Young People who speak English as a Second Language!!

It has been such a transformational journey and we are so thankful that you have inspired us to develop The Ojas Centre's Dance Theatre Company!!

We will definitely shake a leg at our last Afro Dance Fusion workshop this Sunday and then we will be heading at Stanley Arts, get your tickets here: https://stanleyarts.org/event/birdgang-ltd-presents-the-battle-cage/

We are so looking forward to moving with you soon!
